No matter how good your intentions were, IT WAS THE 4TH, we are in a freaking Pandemic! I get it! NOT JUDGING at all!

Here are a few things you may already be aware of, for those that could use a bit of help today, lol, here’s some basic hangover helpers.

What did I do, was it worth it? I hope so! Now you’re inflamed, sleep-deprived, and dehydrated. And not only is alcohol a diuretic, but it’s also metabolized into toxic byproducts that leave us feeling like crap! Drinking too much can cause our blood sugars to bottom out and also disrupts our body’s electrolyte balance. And even if we get a full night’s sleep, alcohol interferes with the quality of sleep.

Let me preface by saying, none of these things sound appealing at all. A pizza, and back to bed might win! For those of you that want to go a more Holistic route (my passion).

Apple cider vinegar

Start your morning with 1 or 2 ounces of apple cider vinegar diluted with 6 to 8 ounces of warm water. The vinegar has a natural diuretic effect that can help combat morning-after fluid retention. It can help stabilize blood sugar levels, which can be shaky after a night of drinking.

Green tea

A bit of caffeine may help improve headache symptoms

Juicing

Green Juicing, Kale or spinach- is rich in compounds that help support our body’s detoxification process. And both beet juice and green juice are alkalizing, helping to neutralize our body’s acidity after a night of drinking.

Beet juice shots or beetroot powder to mix with water or a smoothie. GAG, but it works, from what I have heard. I have not personally tried this; I just did the research.

Replace fluids and electrolytes simultaneously with low-sugar water bottle add-ins like Nuun tablets, rich in electrolytes sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Sparkling mineral water, coconut water, and unsweetened chocolate or vanilla almond milk might be helpful.

B Vitamins

Alcohol depletes B vitamins, so consider adding a B Complex supplement — or add a drink packet like Emergen-C to your water bottle — to help replenish lost nutrients.

Protein smoothie would be great if you are not too nauseous, if you’re that makes me want to gag thinking about it, haha!

Get moving, go for a walk, get some fresh air. I know it’s the last thing you want to do right now, but GET UP and move, said with a giggle! Any movement will increase circulation, bringing more blood and oxygen to the brain and muscles, helping to offset hangover symptoms like headaches and achy muscles. And sweating it out is one of the best natural ways to detoxify our bodies.

Drink water obviously to avoid dehydration

Take an Advil before bed

Restore Energy With Vitamin B

Protect Immunity With Vitamin C

Drink Other Fluids to Restore Electrolytes

Eat Nutrient-Rich Food Before and After Drinking. I know all we want is a greasy pizza., I get it!

Get some rest, take care of yourself. I hope you had an amazing night, and it was filled with fun and laughter, we need it at this time.

Peace, Love and Light,

Aleta
